Rātā
The Rātā is a native tree of New Zealand, famous for its bright red flowers that blossom in summer. It comes in two main types: the Northern Rātā, known for starting as an epiphyte and eventually enveloping its host tree, and the Southern Rātā, which grows from the ground. Rātā trees are ecologically important, offering habitat and food for native wildlife, and hold cultural significance in Māori tradition.
